a quiet coffee room.
Open mornings through three — espresso, single-origin filter, and a few baked things. Closed Friday and Saturday because the kitchen needs a rest.

— the room
Built for slowing down — not for queues.
ZOMU is a single-room cafe on a side street in Burbank. One bar, six counter seats, a banquette, and a square of light from the east-facing window that's enough to read by until about eleven.
We open at eight and close at three. The drink list is short — pour-over, espresso, drinking chocolate, a couple of teas. We don't have a manager or a service writer because there's nothing here you'd need to escalate.
Friday and Saturday we're closed. That isn't a marketing thing. We're a five-day-a-week operation and the kitchen needs a real reset.

Walked in expecting a coffee shop and got a small ritual instead. The cortado is exactly the size and temperature you want it. The room is quiet. I worked here three hours, ordered twice, and didn't realize how long I'd been there.

I make the trip from Glendale twice a week for the pour-over. They taught me the cup I was used to wasn't actually that good, and they did it without making me feel bad about it.
— Daniel K. · Glendale · drives over for the pour-over
Quiet without being precious. The drink list is short on purpose and the toast was the best version of toast I've had in LA. I'll come back.
